<strong>Here in the United States, prescription drug prices are out of control.</strong> We can get the same drugs from neighboring countries (or even at our local veterinarian's office) for a fraction of the price. There is a reason for this mess:  we Americans are footing the bill for new drug research. It is time we mandate that big pharmaceutical companies spread the massive cost of research out; the average U.S. citizen shouldn't be so heavily penalized.
