Bad Blogger
I know I am a terrible, terrible blogger. Truth be told, I have been overwhelmed in my new life. Though wonderful and exciting, the combination of a new marriage, new job, and new puppy is enough to drive a girl from venting to the world. I guess no news is good news as far as the marriage goes. I feel the same way I did before the ceremony, which confirms my belief that marriage is a state of mind rather than a ceremony and piece of paper. The new job is much more than I had predicted. The hours are longer than they should be(overtime is sweet though) and we are constantly understaffed. I shouldn't look for this to change however, as my coworkers have said it has been this way since 1998. I love the bank for its benefits. I have great insurance and am able to save for retirement while bring home just enough cash to buy generic food products. Such is life on the Cape. I am in a much better position than I was at my prior place of employment, and much further on my way to starting the family I want. On to the puppy....now don't get me wrong, he was an excellent decision. The love a puppy gives is uncondtional. Especially a lab. I was warned in the beginning that a puppy would be alot of work, and I accepted this fact. Lincoln takes up every second of our day. I know when he gets older he will calm down, but for right now he is truely the baby of the family. If he is awake, we are awake. We have to be wherever he is. 99% of the time this is awesome. He never ceases to amaze us with his intellegence, but there are times when we would just like to take a nap or eat dinner without dog drool on our legs. I am so glad we did this before having a baby. He has taught us that this kind of commitment is not one to take lightly. We love him to death, but boy has he changed out lives. Drew posts pics of the baby regularly on his blog, so you should check him out at www.capecodcyclist.8k.com/sundaymorningblog He grows by the hour so stay tuned for some cute photos.
